Mummering and mummer parades are a European folk tradition still popular in Newfoundland and in parts of Great Britain. And ow...mummery has come to Nanaimo!
Join us again as we enjoy a costumed parade through Bowen Park for children of all ages and their families followed by a short "mummers play" at Bowen Park Auditorium performed by some of our young actors! Admission is FREE!
Hot beverages --hot chocolate, coffee, tea --- are available for a small donation.
Last year for the parade, the weather was perfect -- sunny and crisp! If we get rain this year, don't despair! We will take the parade indoors and there will be games for the children. We hope to see you this December!
