Youth Theatre

A few times throughout the year,  NYPT produces a youth theatre production for young performers ages 8+.  Memorization and the ability to take direction required. This is an auditioned program (in order to make sure both parent and students understand the attendance  commitment).  Once rehearsals begin, there are further auditions for the casting of roles.

For quick schedule info, see class links below.

Students come to drama classes for different reasons at different times in their lives. Some want to have fun, meet new friends, build more confidence, or simply "try it out"; while others have decided they love the theatre, performing, and seek (and are ready for) more challenge and commitment. Thus, we  invite you to pick the type of class that best suits your child or teen at this specific time in their life.  (With the idea that they can always change their minds later!)
